Evil Daddy!
Evil Daddy!
Okay, I'll admit it...I'm confused. We're shooting three episodes, roughly at the same time, this week and I'm just completely wiped out. This is the time in the season where I personally become just about as grumpy and McKay-like as is acceptable in polite society. McGillion was in today so I gladly took most of it out on him...he loves it! He was here to shoot one scene from the episode we start on Friday ("Outsiders" is it?) and the rest of the day is "Inquisition". I'm just focusing on making sure I say the right lines for the right episodes and not kill anyone (or more likely have anyone kill me!) in the process ;-)

We've just finished the two-parter where I had WAY too much fun with the...can't say enough great things about him, Michael Shanks. That guy is such a star - funny, charming and the consummate professional...all with no attitude either!...I was bugging Mallozzi to bring him back after about an hour of working with the guy! Also had the pleasure of shooting with Gero as he directed us in a few second unit days. He really shone! He's a damn clever fellow and he really knows his stuff...certainly someone to keep your eye on...I look forward to doing battle with him! Great stuff!

Wow! All I can say is these are going to be some seriously great Atlantis episodes!

It feels like only yesterday we wrapped up "The Shrine" and now we've knocked off "Tracker" a great Ronan, McKay and Keller episode with some great stuff from our mysterious "Kiryk"! We're now shooting first and second unit simultaneously (insane!) on the 2 parter "First Contact" and "The Lost Tribe" and I'm pretty much in every day...thus not a lot of tap-tap typing of blogs obviously. Thank You so much for the Doctors Without Borders Donations...that is just the most satisfying gift I could ever receive. Loved the card and the cups decorated with Mars and all your crazy sigs! You spoil me! I'm fine with spoiling. Planned on sleeping in today but a sing-songing Baz had us up soon after 6 and continued the trend with much pulling and tugging on eyelids and eyebrows, hair and lips for the next couple of hours as we tried to "entertain" him by having him watch us sleep. Baz now has his own excer-saucer and I shudder to see what could clearly be him manning the controls of some space bound vessel in coming years...now if I could just turn that into an astronaut rather than an actor!

Wedding still on, despite me being...well, me and I swear that Jane is just getting prettier by the second! Save yourself a huge disappointment, if you were planning on trying to drop by for our wedding now that someone has tried to post the information online...they got it wrong, and I think it's fair not to welcome autograph seekers at THIS event! That's what we've got the Hewlett's UK event for...See you there!

Peace!

Was playing around on funnyordie.com the other morning (Will Ferrell's short is what got me there...brilliant!) and thought I might as well put up the "A Dog's Breakfast" trailer...I know, I know, you've seen it all before, but if you're visiting can I ask the usual? Please give us a "funny" rating, a favourtie and/or a comment...and then feel free to check out what I've favourited and have a giggle...ah the fun you can have in the early dawn while Baz hurls peaches, bananas and oatmeal around the kitchen!

And while you're out there sucking back vast quantities of cyberspace videos...A good friend of mine, and someone you may have seen in "Cube" or "Nothing", Andrew Miller has just launched a new web series that you'll want to check out! Andrew is the writer, producer, creator AND he's sleeping with the star (now that's dedication!) The series is called "Imaginary Bitches" and as you may have figured out there's some mature content and a little racy language so youngsters beware! This is a true labour of love for him (that star is his lovely wife Eden) and it's a beautiful looking production that's sexy and funny and...well just go and see the thing! Andrew and Eden, all the best with it!
