About WolfieAn only child, born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Wolfie now spends much of her time in Disney World (oh, as a guest, not an employee), dreaming up new worlds and characters. Born in 1975, she's a consummate 80s child who never quite grew up -- but she figures that, in her line of work, that's probably a good thing. Able to read since she was four years old, she's had a long-time passion for written language rivaled only by her love of art. Early creative influences include Walt Disney (and the Disney Animation Studios), Wendy Pini, The Brothers Grimm, Eric Kincaid, Piers Anthony, Meredith Ann Pierce, and Charles de Lint. She's also long been interested in mythology, the fantasy genre, science fiction, paganism, and animals, particularly wolves and rabbits. Wolfie released her first novel, Memory of The Brightwing: A Book of New Avalon, in early 2005. She wrote a novellette, Nussknacker, in 2006, is working on a number of other novellettes, and is planning full-length novel sequels, all set in the same universe of New Avalon. She's also writing two novels unrelated to the series. One of those unfinished novels spawned a short story due to be published; the other, she's co-penning with her partner-in-crime, Sharon T. Schmitt. She writes so much that she keeps wearing the letters off her keyboard. Currently she spends her time as a freelance artist/writer, and as one of the Assistant Reviews Editrixen of the webzine Sequential Tart (which she has worked for since 2001). She maintains a sizable personal website, with many minisites dedicated to her various interests. She's also recently taken up video editing, and placed an honorable mention in CGBme's "Save Stargate" contest with only her second video ever. In her free time, when she's not watching TV, reading, or playing in her own worlds, Wolfie likes to dabble in the worlds of others, by way of fanfic and fanart. |

About ShareSharon was has been country-hopping since she was six years old, but calls Canada her home sweet home. Born in the Philippines, raised in Chicago, then moving to Ontario, Canada in 2004, her plan for ultimate domination will continue when she visits Europe and the UK within the next five years. Before her plans to conquer the world, Sharon had played violin (badly) in high school and has had various (boring) retail jobs. She also tolerated art college, having graduated at The American Academy of Art in Chicago with an Associate’s degree in 1995. As an artist, Sharon has dabbled with all sorts of traditional media – acrylics, oils, watercolour, pencils, pastel, and even Crayolas. Although she loves the smell of Crayolas, she feels her best mediums are graphite pencils, coloured pencils, and watercolour. Since she’s quite a fan of the fantasy genre, her subjects of choice are usually fantasy or mythology, and she’s inspired by artists and writers such as Alan Lee, Charles Vess, J.R.R Tolkien, Mercedes Lackey, Guy Gavriel Kay, Jack Whyte, Charles De Lint …you get the drift. She’s also very inspired by the Renaissance masters and classical art & sculpture. In the last two years, Sharon has tried her hand at creative and journalistic writing – she is currently a staff writer for Sequential Tart, has been published in The Tolkien Encyclopedia, and is dilligently writing two novels, one in conjunction with her pal and partner-in-crime, Wolfen Moondaughter. Some of Sharon’s hobbies are watching British comedies, reading lots of books about history, fantasy and other fiction, and watching documentaries. She’s quite a medieval and ancient history buff, and, given half the chance, will probably talk your ear off about the life of Julius Caesar, medieval weaponry, or the historical inaccuries of today’s films (although she did love Kingdom of Heaven). Sharon does not mind drawing tanks, weaponry, or mercenaries. Sharon hates writing about herself in the third person. |
