Hail and well met! Welcome to my site about my experiences at Dragon*Con! There's con reports and plenty of photographs of celebrities and people in fantastic costumes. Just pick a year at your left, and let the fun begin!
What's that you say? You have no idea what Dragon*Con is? It's a kick-ass multimedia convention held every year on Labor Day weekend, in Atlanta, Georgia. Name a fandom, and it's most likely represented there somewhere, I'm sure! They have what's called "tracks", which are rooms that have discussions and events on specific topics all day long (and on some tracks, well into the night!) There's stuff for gamers (both of the roleplaying and video varieties), otaku, Trekkers, comic book geeks, fantasy and sci-fi readers, movie lovers, music lovers, and would-be artists and writers! You have the opportunity to meet all kinds of celebrities, comic book artists and writers, novelists, and TV & movie stars! There's tonnes of stuff to buy, including many con-exclusive items -- it's a great place to get those hard-to-find items. Basically, it's a 3-and-a-half-day party for those of us who don't exactly "fit in" in "normal" social circles, a great place to talk with other people who love the same things you do! I'm giving a panel on creating Custom Stargate My Little Ponies again this year, at Dragon*Con 2008! The workshop slots have been filled, but you can come and watch for free! 11:30 am Sunday morning (August 31st).
