Music

(I run on the battery of my discplayer)

The Official Queen Website: The world lost much when Freddie Mercury died, but at least we have the recordings. He had a voice like no other, & their music was out of this world. I'd love to do an animated musical of their songs
Savage Garden: The band's official website. I frequently listen to their albums, to relax, to daydream, to work on art. (I also like Darren Hayes solo.) I love "I Knew I Loved You" best of all...
RealPoe.com: The official website for the singer POE. I LOVE the album "Haunted". I had the privelage of meeting her at a signing, & hearing her perform. She is a truly beautiful and talented woman... And probably my fave female singer!
The Official Barenaked Ladies Site: These guys are so much fun! Even their songs that should be depressing are often somehow sheering and hopeful! And I never get sick of them--I can listen to theri "best of" album (Disc One) for hours on repeat. I especially love the songs "Falling for the First Time", "One Week", "If I had a Million Dollars", and "Pinch me" ...
BryanAdams.com: The official website of the singer & his band. I know a lot of people hate him, but I LOVE his music, it inspires me a lot ...
sting.compaq.com: The official site of the singer Sting. One of my fav singers, I could listen to "Fields of Gold" (the album) for hours. he's a good actor to, & a great lyricist...
ICON - the Madonna Fan Club: While I haven't been as keen on her newer stuff, I've been a long-time fan of Madonna. Her music is beyond music, it's a 3-dimensional experience in sight & sound. And her songs are so fun to sing!
The Elfman Zone: An un-official website for the highly-gifted composer who has probably done the soundtracks to quite a number of your fave movies, and is also a great singer...
Off Kilter: Fishdancin' the Night Away: The official site for this little-known but fab canadian-celtic new age rock band (rocked-up folk tunes w/bagpipes). I'm a bit of groupie...BR> The Chicago Webring: A ring of fan sites devoted to the band. I love Peter Cetera, with or without the band, & I like their songs w/out him too (my sis & I used to sing them down the halls in college)...
Sarah Brightman: The official site for this beautiful singer. She does mostly covers, but they are still unique...
Four Star Mary: The official site for an awsome band and a great bunch of guys! The stage can barely hold them! I met them after a show once, and they were so sweet they offered me a lift home when they saw I was waiting still when they were leaving!
Michelle Branch: Her official site. She's a truly amazing singer! I confess, when I heard her play "Goodbye to You" on Buffy, I didn't like her--I seldom like live music. But we had a promo of her album, "The Spirit Room", at my work, so I took it home, intending to give it to a Bronzer. I decided to take a listen first before looking for a new home for it. I completely fell in love with it, and it has a prominent place in my CD collection!
Chantal Kreviazuk: Her official site. I first heard her album, Colour Moving and Still, at work, and just *had* to have it! Her voice is strong and powerful, her style alternatingly playful and heartwrenching ... And I think "Soul Searchin" fits Spike perfectly ^_~
Dar Williams: Her official site. Like Kreviazuk, I first heard her album, The Beauty of the Rain, at work, and bought my own copy immediately. She's folksy, but with a pop flavor (and yet not country ...)
Jesse McCartney: what an incredible talent! I love Beautiful Soul, it's one of the few albums where I can listen to the whole thing, and not skip any songs -- and listen to it on repeat for hours on end, for day after day. I call it "my happy music" :). My very fave song of his "Because You Live".
