My friend Roogna and I did an art trade a couple of years ago; this was my half of the trade. Roogna's persona is inspired by the the novel Castle Roogna, by Piers Anthony, and is often pictured with a smaller version of the giant spider from the novel, Jumper. Jumper is also the symbol on her left haunch.
This is Roogna's alternate, Sweet Heart Sisters version, "Goth Roogna".
My own "pony-persona", Moonsget, is based on Snowstar, a character in my novel series, New Avalon. Snowstar is a character I've had since I was seven. She's a white wolf with a black stripe that runs from her nose down to her tail (her tail is all-black). She has a white star on her brow, but for a while when I was working on the first novel, I'd made it a moon instead of a star, and called her Little Moon, but eventually decided to turn her back into her old self. "Get" can refer to the child of someone (or thing), so Moonsget is a play on my surname, Moondaughter.
You'll notice that the image of Moonsget up in the header is a little different from the one below or the versions of her on the "gift art" page -- I've made the stripe encompass her ears now. (Snowstar changed the same way, LOL.) Moonsget's symbol is a wolf head -- she has it on both haunches.
Below is a pic of Moonsget (on the right) with Kara Firelight, the pony-persona of the head of the Customlpvalley; I did it for a contest they had for a Hallowe'en ID -- and won. :)<
Here's Roogna again -- she was having a contest, for which one had to create a pony inspired by a myth and draw a picture of it that inlcluded her persona. I created Hippocampus, based on the legendary horse with a fish's tail. I won the popular vote, so I placed second (first went to Roogna's personal choice).
She drew this pic of Hyppo and Moonsget as my prize. :)
