I loved Spike. He was what got me to watch the Buffy again -- I missed most of season 3, but just had to start watching again when I heard he was in season 4! He was hysterical!

Joss Whedon has created a fantastic character. James Marsters, the actor who portrayed Spike, made the character his, defined the role. He is an incredible actor and a beautiful person. (I've had the luck of being able to meet him a few times already, & I tell all about it here.)

I know it bothers some people that Spike became a sort of "good guy" in the 5th season (well, maybe a bit before then...), but I love it! I don't care if he's not as "gritty", he's still funny! And I'm a sucker for redemption stories and stories of true love--this new scenario has both! Anyway, I see it partly as James' true nature peeking through :P.

Why do I love Spuffy(Spike/Buffy shipper) & Wuffy(William/Buffy) stories? Because Spike(William) understood Buffy better than anyone, including herself. He changed because of her. She was his guiding light, his soul (even before he reclaimed his "real" one in season 6), his proof that a Slayer can do more to stop the evil in the world than just kill -- she can love. That kind of story is filled with hope, something I feel humanity desperately needs....

Anyway. I haven't written any new Spike fiction or drawn anything new (that's Buffy related) in a very, very long while, but if you've never been here, there's plenty to see, and plenty of links to go check out. One of these days I'll finish "Haunted Hearts". And I have lots of other sites too, ones that are updated more regularly....

My original character, Cerberus the vampire dog, has been nominated in the "Most Original Demon or Vampire" category at the Fang and Fetish Awards! Many thanks to whomever nominated him! :D
